Barbara L. Scott is the area’s only Interior and Kitchen & Bath Designer with extensive experience in Los Angeles, CA, New York City, NY and Pittsburgh, PA and with a background in both Residential and Commercial Interiors.
Barbara has multiple skill sets and capabilities but she has chosen to focus her expertise in Kitchen and Bath Design. She is a gifted Interior Designer who helps her Clients navigate through the hundreds of decisions involved with remodeling a Kitchen or Bath or designing a new one. These are rooms that can either help or hinder in your home being functional and she provides creative upgrades to make your home beautiful and livable for now and the future.
Her Residential Design Clients have benefited from the Client Communication, Project Management, and Problem Solving skills she gained during her highly successful Commercial Design career.
She offers Interior Design Services ranging from helping Clients with Color Consultation, Design and Materials selection, Space Planning, Lighting and Flooring. She also offers Project Management assistance with the selection of Contractors, Painters, Tile Installers and Electricians as well as Vendors for Flooring, Lighting, Countertops, Hardware and Cabinets.
She saves her Clients time and money and helps them avoid stress in completing their design project.
Much of her work comes from Referrals and she has done multiple Interior Design projects for the same Clients. She has helped prominent Clients like Scientists, IT Professionals, Physicians, Movie Industry Professionals, College Administrators as well as discerning Homeowners in other area of work to enhance the beauty and value of their homes.
Barbara was interested in Interior Design since Jr. High School and received her B.A. with Honors in Interior Design from the renowned New York School of Interior Design. She is a Professional Member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the premier Interior Design Association which requires testing of knowledge and skills to become a member.
She has also been continuously enhancing her education with current training in many aspects of evolving design issues such as changes in Laws and Design Codes required today in California.
